Most probably the first full HD display smartphone from Micromax. Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 is giving tough competition to peers with its top notch specifications and cool pricing. With stunning specs and almost matching look of high end Android devices, Canvas Turbo comes with Hollywood star and Micromax's new brand ambassador Hugh Jackman.

Canvas is more compact, advanced and precisely built phone. It has anodized aluminum body with curved hard plastic edges which grips well in single hand. Phone has 5 Inch SHARP Full HD display (1080x1920) with CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) technology and stunning 441ppi pixel density. Display is also equipped with NM2 wide angle technology for better side views. Device is available in Pristine White and Midnight Blue color.

On front it has three capacitive buttons for navigation, front facing camera, LED and sensors. On back it has 13Mp Camera, LED flash and Micromax logo at top centre. On edges it has power and volume buttons, two micro SIM slots and headset jack. Phone has non-removable battery pack which is slightly annoying.
Canvas Turbo has superb 13Mp Primary camera and 5Mp front facing one. It is equipped with BSI sensor and has advanced features such as HDR mode, Panorama, Scene detection, GIF animation, 3D Panorama etc. It can record full HD videos.

Phone works on latest Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS and has some customized UI over it. Its expendable notification bar shows direct access to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Data connection, data usage, user profiles, light settings, Airplane mode, Battery Settings and much more. 

Smart gesture features such as blow air to unlock, shake to unlock attracts much. Its Daydream feature is cool and displays photo or a clock while phone is locked. Its additional features include auto answering call while phone is taken near to ears, flip to silent, dial near face.  There is a great iFloat Tray (circular at centre) which combines shortcut to many apps. Micromax has also signed deal with Blackberry for BBM system on their Canvas series. Let’s hope for BBM for Android to appear in near future.

As equipped with latest 1.5 GHz Quad Core mediaTek processor and enough 2GB RAM device works flawless. It has 16GB of internal storage. Phone has 2000 mAh battery support which lasts a full day at least. Phone works enough with this battery pack on optimum settings. 

Other competitors with this phone include Gionee Elite E6, Spice Pinnacle FHD Mi-525 with better specs and display quality. Canvas Turbo's limitations include its non-removable battery, non-expandable memory support and average camera. Otherwise Canvas Turbo is best option immediately after high end Samsung, Nokia and Sony devices.
