Facebook today announced to acquire in-focus mobile messaging app "WhatsApp" with huge 19 Billion U.S. Dollar Deal. It includes paying approximately 4 Billion USD in Cash and about 12 Billion worth of their shares to WhatsApp Inc.
WhatsApp is rapidly spreading among the Smartphone users and over 450 million users are availing the service each month. According to the analysis about 70 percent of the users found online with WhatsApp messenger and its data volume is expanding at light speed exceeding the entire global telecom SMS data. With this popularity WhatsApp currently getting over 1 million new registrations each day.
"WhatsApp is on a path to connect 1 billion people. The services that reach that milestone are all incredibly valuable," said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO.

Facebook facilitates individual business minds to work on their own products such as Instagram and now WhatsApp is part of them. Although Facebook have acquired WhatsApp, the brand will remain under Jan Koum, CEO - WhatsApp and at the previous headquarters location, Mountain View, CA. Jan will join Facebook's Board of Directors, however WhatsApp and Facebook messenger will continue to work as independent applications.
