0 Blogging tips - Remove Linkwithin Related Posts Only from Home

Linkwithin is a free utility site which provides excellent HTML code widget to add for Bloggers which displays relevant posts to their current open page. From long time Bloggers are utilizing this small but very effective widget. Recently some visitors asked us how to remove it from a homepage? The reason is it was collapsing with the posts roll on the homepage and looking jumbled.

On Home and Category page where many posts are displayed, a related post widget will create rather a messy look in between them. Let see how to remove it only from the home page and keep on single posts.

Go to Blogger > Dashboard > Settings > Edit HTML
Search for 'LinkWithin' widget.
(You can also Ctrl+F inside template HTML codes window)

Add following extra codes by locating them as shown in below.

<textarea rows="9" cols="70">
<b:widget id='HTML1' locked='false' title='LinkWithin' type='HTML'>
<b:includable id='main'>
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;item&quot;'>
<data:content/>
</b:if>
</b:includable>
</b:widget>

(Add blue bold lines correctly)

Done! With this addition, your LinkWithin's Related Posts widget must now not appear on the home page and on categories pages.
