0 How to Add Meta Keywords to your Blogger Site

Meta keywords is an element or html/xhtml tag which represents the content in terms of short words or phrases. It certainly can not exceed 7 words in one phrase otherwise, google will consider it as a spam or simply these will not work in search engines.

Meta keyword tag is a tool which help search engines find and index web pages, also to find sites that match the keywords. Keywords can be a single word or phrase. Keywords are placed in a special HTML tag called "meta tags."

Some web owners simply rely on the keywords from articles to get better listing in the search engines but in fact it won't help them much. Some search engines involve keywords in the text of a web to generate relevancy while some others simply ignore the keywords or meta tags altogether.

Meta tag for keywords are defined as:

<meta name="keywords" content="" />

Keywords installation is very simple, the keywords are placed in the "content" of the meta tag. Every word, or phrase, separated by commas. Thus, the example would look like this:

<meta name="keywords" content="blogging, tips & tricks, amazon, money" />

Meta is the element or tag in HTML or XHTML programming language that serves as a agent between search engines and web page. This meta element should be placed in the "head" in the HTML section of your site. This meta tag can also be used to express the description/caption of a web page and to explain the word (keyword) for metadata associated with another without the "head".

In general, there are several kinds of meta tags with different functions. Some functions such as meta keywords and description. Meta tag above is in XHTML format, which means that it should be "closed." with code "/" so it would look like this:

<meta name="keywords" content="blogging, tips & tricks, amazon, money" >

NOTE: The keyword list in this example is designed for searches on these terms: computers, blog, SEO, tips & tricks "money" or "work home" whereas a keyword list with multiple entries, such as:

<meta name="keywords" content="blogging, amazon, money, SEO, tips and tricks, tips and tricks seo, tips and tricks blog, tips and tricks computers, computers" />
will not increase your chances of the pages listed in the search engines.

With this, there is also a possibility that your page will be totally ignored in search engines. Not completely but up to a certain extent.

The example below features all the basic code for a web page, except for the content viewer online will see: <head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; " />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<meta name="keywords" content="blogging, tips & tricks, amazon, money" />
</head>

NOTE: Meta tags use does not guarantee that your page will appear higher in ranks. It totally depends upon the overall competition for that page in search engines.
